C. Berman has worked in information technology for the past 20 years. Outside work, he has long followed world politics and geopolitics: the elections, alliances and rivalries that decide how countries are run and how they deal with one another.
He began the first book after his daughter looked up from the news and asked why the world’s leaders were almost all old men. He wanted to give her a real answer, a better one than the headlines give. Finding it meant reading the true stories of women who have led countries on six continents, and checking every fact along the way.
He cares about girls growing up to see leadership as something open to them, in politics or anywhere else. The For My Daughter series is for his daughter, and for every girl who has wondered the same thing she did.
